Each year, the age divison winners, and the lowest scorers from each individual age, both boys and girls, are invited to be part of the AJADGC Australian Team to play in 2 World Junior tournaments in the USA.
Anyone can go and play in some tournaments overseas, that’s true enough. But to do it as part of a team is an unforgettable life experience for juniors and their families alike. Seeing your child walk up the 18th fairway flanked by half a dozen of their team-mates who finished in earlier pairings, is a truly amazing experience.
From the moment the team comes together in Vegas, the comradery starts building. The team photos at the opening ceremony gives the kids a real sense of pride in their green and gold uniforms.
You’ll meet kids from the USA, China, Thailand, the UK, Mexico and dozens of other places. from the very first practice round, your instagram feed will never look the same.
Then, there’s the daily pool parties, the mutual assistance the kids lend each other with golf swing issues, the team dinners, pizza night, visits to Top Golf Las Vegas, or grabbing a few of your golfing buddies (and their folks) and going ziplining in freemont street.
The experience is unforgettable, and the friendships last a lifetime.
